Wine: the pride and driving force of Castilla y León
The wine sector plays an essential role in Castilla y León, as it not only helps to fix population numbers in rural areas, but also creates a valuable environmental heritage and promotes the region beyond its boundaries. Wine is also one of Castilla y León’s principal economic drivers.
Given the relevance and prestige of the Zarcillo International Wine Awards, the decision was made to pay tribute to those persons, institutions or companies that have made an outstanding contribution to the growth and consolidation of the winemaking sector in Castilla y Leon with the creation of the “Zarcillo of Honor” awards.
